What is a helium compressor?

Helium compressor is a pressurization equipment specially designed for helium medium, which is used for pressurizing low-pressure helium, realizing helium recovery, filling, refrigeration leak detection, aerospace, laser and low-temperature equipment gas supply, adapting to the characteristics of small helium molecules, inertia and easy leakage, and cannot be replaced by ordinary air compressors.

Core special requirements include:

High-density sealing and leakage prevention: Helium molecules have strong penetrating power, and it is sealed with metal diaphragm and multi-layer packing, and equipped with leak detection device to reduce the loss of expensive helium;

Oil-free high-purity design: Helium is mostly used in high-purity working conditions such as low temperature, semiconductor, laser, etc. The diaphragm type is completely isolated from lubricating oil to avoid medium pollution;

Adapting inert medium material: helium is stable in chemical properties, but easy to penetrate under high pressure. The cylinder body and pipeline are made of precision stainless steel, and there is no concern about hydrogen embrittlement, but the gaps need to be strictly controlled;

Low-loss, recyclable matching: often matched with recycling pipeline to realize helium recycling and reduce the use cost;

Low-temperature working condition adaptation: some models can adapt to low-temperature helium compression, and are suitable for cold and nuclear magnetic resonance cryogenic systems.

Generally speaking, helium compressor is a special equipment specially designed for pressurizing and recycling rare helium. Because helium molecules are extremely small and easy to leak, the core requirements are high-density sealing, oil-free and precise leakage-proof. It is mainly used in low-temperature refrigeration, nuclear magnetic resonance, laser, space leak detection, helium filling and other scenes.
