What is a low-pressure compressor?
Simply put, a low-pressure compressor is a kind of mechanical equipment specially designed to provide a large flow of gas at a lower exhaust pressure (usually significantly lower than that of a conventional industrial compressor). The core feature of low-pressure compressor is "low pressure and large flow".
Core special requirements include:
Low exhaust pressure: Generally, the working pressure ranges from 0.2 mpa (about 2 kg/cm) to 0.8 mpa (about 8 kg/cm). Some specific applications (such as ventilation and pneumatic transportation) may even be lower than 0.1 mpa. Comparison: the common air compressor for pneumatic tools in factories is usually 0.7-1.3 mpa;; The high-pressure compressor can reach tens or even hundreds of mpa.
Large displacement: this is its obvious advantage. The flow usually ranges from tens of cubic meters to thousands of cubic meters per minute, or even more. In order to handle such a large gas volume, its gas inlet and flow channel are designed to be very large.
Low pressure ratio: the pressure ratio (absolute exhaust pressure/absolute intake pressure) is usually low, generally between 2 and 4. This makes the single-stage compression meet the requirements and the structure is relatively simple.
Low-pressure compressor is essentially a special compressor for large-flow gas treatment. It does not refer to "poor quality" or "low power" compressors, but a clear technical category. Its design philosophy is: under the premise of meeting the moderate pressure required by the process, it can improve the flow rate of chemical gas and pursue the operation efficiency and economy under high flow rate.
